The Level 4 Childcare qualification is an advanced program for experienced professionals who want to move up to leadership or senior roles in early years, residential, or social care settings. It builds on what students already know and have done, focusing on child and adolescent development, safeguarding, health and safety, observation and assessment, and inclusive practice for children with additional needs. Students also learn how to be effective leaders, manage teams, work with multiple agencies, and reflect on their own practice to help children, young people, and families. The course is delivered through a mix of workplace-based learning, online study, and in-person training, giving students the chance to put theory into practice in real-life situations. When they finish, they will have a nationally recognized Level 4 qualification that will help them get jobs as a senior practitioner, lead educator, or residential care professional, and provide high-quality, safe, and supportive care and education.
