Have you ever fantasized about organizing a safari to go see gorillas from Rwanda to Kigali? When you enter Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Cyanika or Gatuna borders and travel to the southern portion of the park, you can conduct a gorilla habituation experience in Uganda via Kigali. With the East African visa, you can enter the borders of two member states without having to reapply. The Bwindi forest in southern Uganda is the only place where gorilla habituation experiences are currently taking place.

Another compelling reason to organize a gorilla habituation experience holiday from Kigali is Rwanda is one way to shorten the trip between the airport and Bwindi. The majority of safaris to Bwindi typically depart from Entebbe Airport, which takes 9 to 11 hours, as opposed to the 5 to 6 hours it takes to drive from Kigali International Airport to the impenetrable national park of Bwindi to go on a gorilla safari.

To participate in a gorilla habituation experience in Uganda, you must first obtain a gorilla permit from the Uganda Wildlife Authority. There are only two gorilla families in Bwindi that are available for gorilla habituation experiences, and each family is only given a total of four permits each day.

Tourists that want to spend more time with these enormous animals choose gorilla habituation in order to fully immerse themselves in the daily activities of the mountain gorilla life. Only one hour is permitted before the mountain gorillas during gorilla trekking, which might not be enough for those who want more time.

The majority of travelers who embark on African safari adventures consider seeing mountain gorillas to be one of their lifetime ambitions since they often sense a kinship with these long-lost relatives. Because mountain gorillas become habituated to humans over time, spending time with them is like traveling to a past life you never got the chance to see.

Uganda permits two scheduling changes on the same gorilla habituation license. Only the executive director can grant your request to move the same permit a third time. Also included is a fee.

What Are the Rules for Gorilla Habituation?

Feeding the mountain gorillas is illegal since wild animals must look for their own food.

Don’t spit on the vegetation because it may contaminate gorillas
